Connective tissue is the supporting tissue that surrounds and connects muscles, organs and other structures in the body. By improving the condition of connective tissue, you can help relieve tension, reduce pain and promote blood circulation.
Course content:
- Cupping: Learn how to use suction cups to create a vacuum that lifts the skin and increases blood flow. Cupping can help loosen tight muscles, promote healing and improve connective tissue flexibility.
- Gua Sha: Gain insight into the use of Gua Sha, a technique where a special tool is used to scrape the skin in gentle movements. This can help release tension, increase blood circulation and promote healthier skin and connective tissue.
Through this course, you will gain practical experience and understanding of how to effectively use these traditional methods to benefit your clients. You will learn how to identify areas of tension and apply the right techniques to achieve optimal results.
Techniques and structures will be demonstrated and you will both receive and give treatment during the course.
There is always room for individual instruction and demonstration where needed, as well as questions and discussions.
Admission requirements
The course is for those who are already trained therapists and can easily be combined with physiurgical massage, reflexology, facials, spa and wellness treatments, and is particularly suitable for treating areas with cellulite.
After the connective tissue course, you will be able to give a full body treatment.

Teacher: Susan Wichmand, Head of School at AM Academy
Trained as a Physician Certified Physiurgical Massage Therapist, Sports Massage Therapist and Chair Massage Therapist with subsequent courses in sports injuries, trigger points, techniques for headaches and more. Susan teaches anatomy and the practical part of the massage therapy program. Susan has previously been the owner of the body treatment department at Kurbadet in Hornbæk, where she developed various types of wellness treatments and treated herself for several years. She also teaches chair massage and trigger points. Susan is also a judge at DM & VM in massage.
