The course gives you the opportunity to learn about some of the most prevalent diseases in society (common diseases) and diseases of particular relevance to healthcare providers.<\/p>\n
The course consists of 100 hours of study and is offered as E-learning, where the student studies according to a guided plan for each topic.<\/p>\n
In parallel, personal assistance from the instructor is offered via the AM Academy Intranet and an e-learning forum is held once a month where the instructor offers help at AM Academy.<\/p>\n
The content of the topics will often be completely new knowledge, but builds on your knowledge of anatomy and physiology.<\/p>\n
Pathology (the study of diseases) and pharmacology are divided into topics according to which organ system the diseases belong to. Each subject ends with a short subject test, which must be completed and passed before the student can register for the exam. The test consists of 10-20 questions on the topic in question and is time-limited. <\/p>\n
The course ends with a written attendance exam held at AM Academy. It will consist of short answer and multiple choice questions. <\/p>\n

The course is based on the 3rd edition of the book “H\u00e5nden P\u00e5 Hjertet – Sygdomsl\u00e6re” by Arne Lykke Viborg and Annette Wals\u00f8e Torup.
