The creators of craniosacral osteopathy were the students of A.T. Still: Charlotte Weaver and Williams Garner Sutherland<\/a>, who in the early 1920s developed the basics of cranio sacral therapy.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span><\/div>\n
Before Sutherland, the skull was seen as a can with no mobility or plasticity. Sutherland was so fascinated by the individual bones, fascia, sutures and other structures of the skull that he began to study them in depth. After long observations and palpation of the skull, he came to the conclusion that the bones of the skull are mobile and have a very significant influence on the functioning of the nervous system. The further development of this concept included the treatment of the whole body and, more precisely, the method of diagnosing and treating dysfunctions of the whole organism. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Palpation made it possible to assess the mobility of the connected bones, membranes and fascia and their impact on the cranial nerves and by indirect techniques to eliminate restrictions on the mobility of these tissues, affecting the proper blood supply, innervation, outflow of blood and lymph. The search for the cause of dysfunction plays a particularly important role in the cranial region because individual bones are connected to many others, creating an entire network of connections. There are a number of both direct and indirect osteopathic techniques that are used depending on the dysfunction and indications.

Cranial nerve dysfunctions, migraines, headaches, endocrine disorders, epilepsy and musculoskeletal problems and related dysfunctions, and many other problems can be cured using craniosacral techniques, if of course they are caused by disturbances in the skull structures.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
