Sisters Anita S\u00f8gaard and Mona Nylander\u00a0founded the school\u00a0back in\u00a01991\u00a0as AM Massage School, with a vision to offer the\u00a0country’s best massage therapist educations.<\/p>\n Today, the school is run under the name AM Academy, by\u00a0the next generation\u00a0Susan Wichmand, who has been an active\u00a0masseuse for many years.\u00a0Susan has been a masseuse at sporting events and a regular masseuse at\u00a0several companies\u00a0here among Ilse Jacobsen \u2013 Hornb\u00e6k, for whom she is still\u00a0a personal masseuse.\u00a0In addition, Susan has been a masseuse at Concerts in Copenhagen for, among other things, the 1980s and 1960s. Susan has made material for\u00a0article\u00a0in BT about\u00a0headaches\u00a0and been to\u00a0Go’ Aften Danmark\u00a0with the same topic.<\/p>\n Our\u00a0mission\u00a0is to offer the\u00a0highest quality education.\u00a0The best trainers will provide\u00a0creative and inspiring teaching,as well as the\u00a0latest knowledge\u00a0in massage therapy\u00a0and muscular\u00a0therapies.\u00a0We want\u00a0to improve the\u00a0quality of the profession, and fight for more\u00a0recognition\u00a0by, among other things, working to\u00a0get reimbursement\u00a0for massage through Denmark and that doctors can refer to\u00a0a masseur.\u00a0Work is carried out in these areas through the Danish Treatment Association, of which the school is a member, and the head of the school Susan sits on the board of directors.<\/p>\n At AM\u00a0Academy, teaching\u00a0is always inspiring. The teams are no bigger than\u00a0that all students can be prioritized, thus taking into account everyone’s learning paths (learn, among other things, to remember the anatomy with funny straps).<\/p>\n Our goal is to ensure that you get a\u00a0useful practical education\u00a0as well as the best\u00a0qualifications, so that in the future you will offer\u00a0massages\u00a0of the highest quality, either as\u00a0an employed\u00a0or\u00a0independent masseur.<\/p>\n Since its inception, a masseur education at AM Academy, formerly AM Massage School, has\u00a0led to jobs\u00a0as a Sports\u00a0massager\u00a0and\u00a0Physiurgical Masseur\u00a0at, among others. badminton national teams, FCK and Br\u00f8ndby IF, Team Denmark, the cycling team CSC, within company massage and many other places. In addition, AM Academy has\u00a0provided masseurs\u00a0for several events e.g. Zulu TV production and Coca Cola Zero event. The\u00a0network we have built up\u00a0over the years means that we continue to provide many\u00a0jobs\u00a0as a masseur to students from\u00a0our school.<\/p>\n We also offer\u00a0continuing education courses\u00a0to Masseurs, as we believe it is important to constantly update your\u00a0knowledge\u00a0within the subject and get new inspiration\u00a0and sparring\u00a0for your treatments.<\/p>\n In our education and\u00a0training\/courses\u00a0you as teachers will meet Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, medical students and experienced Medically Contaminated Physiotherapists. In an education with us you have\u00a0regular teachers\u00a0in\u00a0the majors, and external teachers in the secondary subjects, all of whom have\u00a0great expertise\u00a0in the area they teach.
